1. 研究目的与意义（文献综述）

With the unstoppable globalization, the communication between different countries or district is more and more frequently. Each country or district has its own history and culture, some of them have the similar background, but most of them are totally different. For a better communication, we should know more about other country or district’s history and culture. Film is one of the most popular medium of communication. We can get a lot of information in a movie, such as the social value and ideology, and the scenery we have never seen before. However, the lacking of acquaintance with other country or district’s cultural background usually make some misunderstanding, or even we totally can’t understand what this movie tend to communicate. So, it is imminent to know more about other country or district’s history, culture, politics and so on. In the recent years, the superhero is a popular element in American movie though all this kind of movie has the similar storyline, such as the Superman, Spiderman, and Iron Man and so on. I think this phenomenon also related to the cultural background. So, in this paper, I will analyze the factors which make an influence on the character shaping. Actually, China has the different cultural background with America; the characters in the movie absolutely have some dissimilarity. So, I will analyze the difference of the character shaping —especially the superhero characters— between the two countries from different viewpoint.

Many people have done some studies about American superhero movie, they think that this kind of movie reflect something like the hero complex of American and the social ideology. But most of them ignore the social environment also have an influence on the movie, of course the character shaping. And the American movie also has an influence on Chinese movie. Chinese like to learn and imitate the movie technique from American, also the character, but, the most influential factor, in my perspective, is the cultural background. And there are little studies on the character shaping of Chinese movie. So, I will analyze some factors which have an influence on the character shaping according to the materials I can find on Internet.

Through research the factors which have an influence on the character shaping in the movie, we will have a better understanding with the American culture, American Dream, the hero complex of American and the social value and ideology and so on. And then, we will have a deeper understanding with the other kind of movie, not always the superhero movie. Of course, we will also have a better understanding with our own history and cultural characters. Besides, when we get a new cultural work which comes from the totally different historical and cultural environment, we also should be accustomed to get more information about this work, so that we can avoid the misunderstanding and have a better understanding.

2. 研究的基本内容与方案

my paper mainly compares the one of the marvel series – iron man and monkey king hero is back which opens across recently in china. analyze something about the differences of shaping of hero, people’s attitudes to the hero in the film and the reason for the appearance of this kind of film between china and america. this thesis comprise of five parts. the first part is the introduction and the second part is mainly about the iron man, talking about the characteristics of the iron man, and the plot routine of this kind of film. analyze the cultural background of these characteristics where will mention the heroic complex of american, and the cultural and historical background of this complex. the third part is about monkey king hero is back. according to the characteristic and the origin of sun wukong, analyze the reason why the film appears currently in china, and why it can get a lot of people’s affirmations. the next part will compare the two movies and the last part will give a conclusion.
