1. 研究目的与意义

The spot of Wuthering Heights is mainly about the love story between Heathcliff and Catharine. On account of desire, oppression and class conscious, originally pure love is beclouded by hatred. Regret and revenge are not only the soul of the novel, but also is the key of the work. Along with revenge, we can see characters#8217; internal struggles and sufferings which origin from the loss of human nature. Because of so much love, there is so much hatred. The contradictoriness between love and revenge can be attributed to the lost and return of human nature. In my passage, from the angle of human nature which is different from the study of plot itself, a completely and in-depth analysis about character behaviors and the process of feeling changes will help meticulously understand the love story and the inner world of characters. Besides, in modern society where there are full of temptations, inequality and desires that may result in the temporary loss of nature, my study teaches us to forgive, to understand and make us cherish the back of nature. The real meaning of my passage is to make people believe that the flame of love will guide the way home for souls in lost.

Since the advent of Wuthering Heights, it has experienced a complicated process in the English critics. Until the 20th century, many critics showed intense interest in ideological implication and pattern of manifestation in this novel. At the same time, there are many professors and scholars who have analyzed the character of Heathcliff. Many scholars have also analyzed the reasons for the forming of the characteristic of Heathcliff from different sides. Some of them think his character is informal and ill-treat himself, and some think that is because of the social background, but also some scholars think he is the hero of the love who dares to love and hate.Among the national literatures, many scholars have also made some researches on the reasons of the character forming based on the foreign studies, such as The Translation of The Wuthering Heights of England Emily Bronte by Yan Hong Mei and Zhang Yun. They said that because of ill-treatment suffered by Heathcliff, no matter how better man he is he would be a demon. Liu Feng Hui also said that the character forming of him is mainly about the environment around him. There is no doubt that the money is the standard of the society at that time .The shame which is taken by the poverty like a knife which had changed the character. In addition, Chen Yi ping think that the god has a revenge character. She said that human cannot do better than itself, Heathcliff cannot beyond the nature of human, he also have been hurt by himself.

Comparison: In the period of nature loss and return, there are different feeling changes and character mental transitionsConnection: The lost and return of human nature in the novel can be related to the particular examples in reality. We should cherish and persist in human nature. Even if the nature is in loss, we also hold a firm belief that it will be back because of love.
