the role of women over the decades have modified, whichis visible from the phenomenon of women’s penetration into the businessenvironment. nevertheless, the culture, religious traits, and the traditions ofthe nation are likely to have a profound effect on the accomplishments of thewomen at the workplace. in this context, saudi arabia is a nation that hasfollowed strict segregation with the women gender. the traditional role ofwomen in saudi arabia is characterized by the home responsibilities. as anoutcome, this population confronts with the challenge of professionalinterruptions, which is ultimately consequential to high turnover rate [1].
the constant debates publicizing the challenges ofwomen in the workplace over the course has brought forward the reforms in thediscourse of saudi governments [2. further, the trend of urbanization in thesaudi arabia led to the development in the sphere of women activities.nowadays, the women have a greater opportunity to be enrolled in diverse arenasof employment [1. however, the women in saudi arabia cannot overlook theirtraditional role as homemakers; thus, the flexible working system has beeninitiated as an effective alternative to provide a greater level of resilienceto the working woman [3]
