1. 研究目的与意义（文献综述）

research purpose:

ender’s game, orsonscott card’s award-winning 1985 novel, has been discovered and rediscovered bygenerations of science fiction fans, even being adopted as reading by the u.s.marine corps. ender's game and its sequels explore rich themes — theviolence and cruelty of children, the role of empathy in war, and the balanceof individual dignity and the social good — with compelling elements of acoming-of-age story. it is a work that deserves a serious and exquisitetranslation study so that more chinese science fiction fans could read thegreat novel.

based on the skopos theoryand referring to relevant research, this thesis will make a research on thetranslation of ender's game and make a summary, expected to contribute torelated study.

2. 研究的基本内容与方案

this thesis will be comprisedof four chapters: chapter 1, introduction, chapter 2, theoretical framework,chapter 3, skopos strategies and content in translation of ender’s game,chapter 4, conclusion.

the first chapter will givean introduction to the research background, research significance, methodology,literature review and the thesis structure.

the second chapter willestablish the theoretical framework of the thesis.
